Selection Procedure

Review Process

All submitted applications will go through a preliminary screening process. The screened applications will then be reviewed by 3 subject matter experts.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on the project’s overall relevance, considering its scientific, environmental, and societal impacts.

The jury will assess –

  • Creativity
  • Methodology
  • Subject knowledge
  • Practical skills and
  • Quality of the report and presentation.

 

After Selection

The top 25 teams will be shortlisted by experts.
• The top 25 teams will receive training on pitching and presentation.
• These teams will exhibit their projects at IIT-Madras, where the best 10 teams will be recognized with the National Water Champions Award.
• The one best-performing team among them will then be selected to compete in the international contest, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2024.
• The winning team will travel to Stockholm in August 2024 for a week-long cultural exchange with winners from 30+ nations.
• The trip will be sponsored by SJWP India, with stay supported by SJWP.
